When Hilton Grand Vacation Club – SeaWorld approached Poseidon, they faced a challenging rooftop configuration: the eight-story buildings featured a 10-foot mansard wall surrounding each rooftop, making traditional installation methods difficult and risky.
By taking a consultative approach and assessing every detail of the property’s needs, Poseidon recommended a liquid-applied membrane that provided seamless coverage without invasive tear-offs. Not only did this solution reduce project costs by approximately 20%, but it also offered a robust 25-year warranty, ensuring dependable, long-lasting protection.
The end result was a durable, weather-resistant roof that minimized potential leaks and preserved the building’s structural integrity without disrupting the daily operations of this popular vacation destination.
When Banner Property Group discovered that a complete roof replacement on their 225,000-square-foot freezer warehouse could cost over $4 million and take half a year, they sought an alternative that would shorten timelines and minimize disruptions.
After evaluating their existing roof conditions, Poseidon applied a liquid-applied roofing system rather than a conventional tear-off and replacement. This decision slashed the total project cost to under $1 million and reduced the completion timeline to around 90 days. Backed by a 15-year manufacturer’s warranty, this innovative solution protected the building’s contents from the elements and allowed Banner Property Group to stay focused on running their business.
The Orbit One Vacation Villas property presented a complex blend of horizontal flat roofing, vertical walls, and sloped metal roof panels—each requiring a unique approach to ensure uniform protection. By assessing each surface type and its exposure to Florida’s harsh elements, Poseidon implemented two different roof system solutions that worked seamlessly across all areas.
This strategy allowed every section of the roof, from flat membranes to sloped metal, to perform at peak efficiency. In the end, each surface received a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty, guaranteeing peace of mind for both management and guests while preserving the overall aesthetic charm of the property.
The Renaissance Resort is located in the original development area of Disney’s “Hotel Row” back in the early 1970s. It’s a 19-story resort needing their roof system replaced along with the complete removal and replacement of the original structural metal deck. We had to fit a new profile into the old profile and develop a system for loading the metal panels and maintaining a water-tight system during the process. It also needed a unique solution of protecting the building from fire as there was a need to torch the old welds of the deck to the new steel bar joists during the re-roofing process.
